Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE)

Brandon Swinford

Some words from Brandon

Over the course of my career, I’ve spent more than a decade working in the legal field, and I've seen the long‑term impact that a single mistake can have on a person. I’ve seen both how strong systems can change lives and how costly it is when support structures fall short.

That perspective is why I’m supporting HIRE and the work they do for individuals returning from incarceration at one of the most pivotal moments of their lives. Reentry isn’t a single hurdle but a series of interconnected challenges, and HIRE steps in with practical, consistent support to help people regain stability and build momentum.

As their impact has grown, so has the responsibility, and the resources required, to continue showing up every day with the same level of care and effectiveness. If this mission resonates with you, I hope you’ll join me in supporting work that strengthens individuals, families, and communities within these next 24 hours!

The Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE) Story

HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.

Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.

And we’ve built a model that works.

But growth comes with a cost.

As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.

Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.

Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.

💥 The first $17,500 will be matched by our partners, Swinerton Builders, CalOptima, Caring Path Foundation, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and Bomel Construction
💥 Your gift today has double the impact

This is a moment to step in, stand behind this work, and help ensure it continues.

If not now, when. If not us, who.
