For more than a century, Goodwill of Orange County has been supporting the career journeys of local residents - whether that’s through helping them find and keep a job or providing training and career coaching. We invite you to partner with us to raise awareness and funds for our youth workforce development programs by supporting our giving day, The Future is Working!
At Goodwill of Orange County, we understand that many young people are struggling to find jobs. The jobless rate for teens in California last summer was over 21 percent, which is the highest rate in the country. That’s about 1 in 5 teens that were unable to gain the experience they need to begin their future careers.
What can truly make a difference for young people looking for opportunities in the workforce is a full system of support. Last year alone, Goodwill of Orange County’s workforce development programs helped over 6,000 young people gain the skills and confidence needed to secure employment.
When you support Goodwill of Orange County, you are helping young people like Edward, who through our LifeLaunch Youth Re-Entry Program for justice impacted and at-risk youth, was offered a second chance to receive the support, skills, and confidence he needed to work on a plan to build his future.
The young adults we serve through our youth workforce development programs are nothing short of remarkable and their stories showcase the transformative power of opportunities, support, and dedication.

Your gift TODAY directly supports Goodwill OC's Youth Workforce Development Programs:
UpSkill OC/Opportunity Young Adult (OYA) — a free program for young adults ages 18–28 that covers resume building, interview prep, employer connections in fields like healthcare and tech, and up to $250/month in financial support for eligible participants.
Student Services Work Experience — serving teens ages 16–21, providing 100 hours of paid, hands-on work experience in community settings over three months.
LifeLaunch: Growth Opportunities (GO) — a free program for justice-impacted young adults ages 18–24, offering job training and wraparound support services like housing and legal assistance.
