Through the SCSEP program, which provides job training for seniors, I had the opportunity to join HIRE.
From the beginning, I felt welcomed and supported here. I believe deeply in HIRE’s mission and in reentry, and I’m proud to assist everyone who comes through our doors with care, respect, and dignity. Being part of this work and helping people move forward means a great deal to me.
Please consider supporting HIRE in their mission today!
HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.
Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.
And we’ve built a model that works.
But growth comes with a cost.
As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.
Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.
Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.
💥 The first $17,500 will be matched by our partners, Swinerton Builders, CalOptima, Caring Path Foundation, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and Bomel Construction

This is a moment to step in, stand behind this work, and help ensure it continues.
If not now, when. If not us, who.
