For those who know me well, you know that HIRE isn’t just the organization I lead - it’s work that I deeply believe in. Every day, I meet people who are trying to rebuild their lives after incarceration. They’re not looking for handouts, they’re looking for the opportunity to work, support themselves, and move forward.
Through HIRE, we help connect justice-involved individuals with mentorship, employment and community building opportunities that change the trajectory of their lives. When someone secures a job, it doesn’t just impact them—it strengthens families, improves public safety, and builds stronger communities.
This Giving Day, I’m asking my friends and family to join me in supporting this work. Every contribution helps us reach more people who are ready for a second chance and a stable future.
Thank you for believing in this mission alongside me.
HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.
Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.
And we’ve built a model that works.
But growth comes with a cost.
As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.
Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.
Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.
