Hello, everyone! I'm Mike Preston, an EXP Board Member, and I'm excited to share with you my passion for EXP’s mission and the impact it has on students.
One of the greatest impacts of EXP on students is its ability to remove the intimidation factors and create a supportive environment where all students feel empowered to explore their potential. By breaking down barriers and fostering a culture of inclusivity, EXP enables students to thrive and pursue their dreams with confidence.
Another significant aspect of EXP's impact is the connection between industry and education. By bridging the gap between the two, EXP provides students with invaluable opportunities to gain real-world experience and insights, preparing them for success in their future careers.
What fills me with pride is watching students at Phineas Banning High School work on their robotics projects alongside Philipps 66 engineers. The volunteers really show our students they care about their growth. That is a testament to the effectiveness of the project mentorship!
Through my career with Phillips66, I've learned firsthand the importance of community engagement and youth development. I believe that by supporting programs like EXP, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and contribute to the growth and prosperity of our local communities.
