Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE)
Some words from Nhut

Nhut is one of HIRE's T.I.M.E. Mentors, focusing on supporting system-involved youth in redirecting their lives so that they can reach their fullest potential.

At age 16, he was involved in a gang-related homicide and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. After serving 20 years in a correctional institution, he made the necessary changes to transform his life, committing to service and applying the experiences he learned during his incarceration.

Now, he serves as a guiding light for the future, dedicated to serving both dogs and people.

As he understands first-hand, the impact of HIRE's role in the community, he is asking you to please consider also supporting HIRE in their mission today, on Giving Day. Every donation or repost helps!

The Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE) Story

HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.

Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.

And we’ve built a model that works.

But growth comes with a cost.

As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.

Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.

Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.

💥 The first $17,500 will be matched by our partners, Swinerton Builders, CalOptima, Caring Path Foundation, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and Bomel Construction
💥 Your gift today has double the impact

This is a moment to step in, stand behind this work, and help ensure it continues.

If not now, when. If not us, who.
