Having known Meghan for nearly a decade, it was truly an honor to be asked to join HIRE’s Board of Directors. Through my work in workplace safety, I see firsthand how critical stable employment is, and how meaningful the support HIRE provides to its clients can be Giving Day is one of the most important days for HIRE and their services. With your help, the $30,000 that we will raise on April 2nd will continue to grow opportunities for even more HIRE clients!
HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.
Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.
And we’ve built a model that works.
But growth comes with a cost.
As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.
Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.
Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.

If not now, when. If not us, who.
