Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE)

Nicole Woodworth

Some words from Nicole

I support HIRE because I see, every day, what happens when people are given a real chance to reconnect with work, stability, and community after incarceration. As the Business Development Manager at HIRE, my role is to help our justice-involved clients secure meaningful employment right here in Orange County—and I’ve witnessed firsthand how access to the right job can be truly life-changing.

HIRE is the only reentry hub in Orange County that welcomes every person—any age, any conviction—and meets them with dignity, opportunity, and belief in their potential. We don’t just prepare people for jobs; we help them rebuild confidence, purpose, and a future they can be proud of. I’m deeply passionate about uplifting the stories and experiences of formerly incarcerated adults and youth and about connecting them with employers who are willing to see talent beyond a record.

The Future Is Working Giving Day is about developing a stronger workforce for Orange County—and that future must include everyone. When you support HIRE, you’re investing in people, safer communities, and a more inclusive local economy. I hope you’ll join me in supporting this work and helping ensure that the future truly is working for all of us.

The Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (HIRE) Story

HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.

Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.

And we’ve built a model that works.

But growth comes with a cost.

As demand increases, so does the need for staffing, infrastructure, and the resources required to continue delivering meaningful, consistent support. Like many nonprofits, we are navigating a funding landscape that has not kept pace with the level of need.

Giving Day is not just about expanding this work—it’s about sustaining it.

Your support helps ensure that individuals do not lose access to the services, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.

💥 The first $17,500 will be matched by our partners, Swinerton Builders, CalOptima, Caring Path Foundation, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and Bomel Construction
💥 Your gift today has double the impact

This is a moment to step in, stand behind this work, and help ensure it continues.

If not now, when. If not us, who.
