Through the SCSEP program, which provides job training for seniors, I had the opportunity to join HIRE.
HIRE is a worthwhile program that focuses on integration, reentry and employment for men and women that were impacted by the prison system, upon their release back into society.

HIRE exists to support individuals returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives—through employment, stability, and community.
Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.
And we’ve built a model that works.
But growth comes with a cost.
