My name is Stephanie Lozano, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors here at HIRE. Being on the Board was an amazing opportunity that stemmed from doing what I love best, volunteering. Being out in the community and putting boots on the ground for organizations like HIRE is my passion. Witnessing firsthand the positive impact HIRE was making on the community further inspired my passion for its mission and the people it serves.
At HIRE, we are not just about offering services; we are about helping people reclaim their narrative. Each year, over 600,000 individuals are released from incarceration in the U.S., many of whom return to communities without the necessary resources or support to successfully reintegrate.
Being unemployed means people do not have the ability to provide for themselves or their families, face homelessness, lack access to healthcare and proper nutrition.

Over the past year, we’ve grown rapidly to meet the need. Every day, we are working with individuals navigating some of the most complex barriers: housing instability, gaps in employment, behavioral health challenges, and the realities of reentry.
