A few years back, my husband Jim and I were introduced to Kherut, a group that is committed to supporting women as they overcome obstacles and abuse that no one should have to experience. Kherut's model is unique. They takes the gifts, talents and determination of the women in the program and turn those gifts into opportunity. By teaching job skills and working together, a difficult past is turned into a promising future. We have experienced firsthand the strength, grace and creativity of the women in the program. We have seen the skills they learn on the job create amazing events, beautiful gatherings, and magical memories. These women inspire me. They work to change their lives and build their future.
