Some words from Yves

As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kherut, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the transformation that happens when women who have survived trafficking, abuse, incarceration, or homelessness are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives. When women gain job skills, earn income, and are surrounded by a supportive community, confidence grows and their futures change.

This work matters deeply to me because I believe every woman deserves the chance to build a future that is not defined by her past. I have seen incredible resilience as women develop professional skills, regain confidence, and move toward independence for themselves and their families.

I am asking for your help because more women are ready for this opportunity. Your support helps provide paid job training, mentorship, and real-world work experience that lead to long-term employment and stability.

You can help by making a gift and sharing this campaign with others.

The Kherut Story

The Future is Working Giving Day fuels Kherut’s mission to build a stronger workforce in Orange CountyEmpowering Today, Strengthening Tomorrow. Through career training and long-term employment pathways, we help women move from crisis to confidence and into sustainable independence.

Kherut serves women who have survived sex trafficking, domestic violence, incarceration, addiction, and aging out of foster care. Many have faced significant barriers to employment and stability. We believe lasting freedom begins with meaningful work, practical job skills, and the dignity of earned income.

Each year, we serve 20 women through our paid 420-hour Workforce Training Program. Participants develop essential skills in culinary arts, hospitality, customer service, and administrative support within a safe, trauma-informed environment. Upon completion, women have the opportunity to continue with Kherut in full-time employment or pursue careers with other employers—equipped with the experience, confidence, and professional skills needed to succeed long-term.

This Giving Day, your gift directly opens doors to job training, employment, and long-term career opportunity. Give today and be part of building a stronger workforce—one woman, one career, and one transformed future at a time.
